Agios Georgios

The Harbour of Agios Georgios at Pegeia has a small sandy beach with some organizational aspects. It is a fishermen’s harbour for traditional fishermen, as well as a living museum. Exactly opposite, a unique little island, Geronisos, stirs the interest of explorers and archaeologists. Geronisos is the shelter for many birds, mainly seagulls, and it also presents archaeological remains. Located approximately 5Km from Coral Bay & Pegeia, the fishing harbour and beach are overlooked by the remains of Early Christian basilicas with mosaic floors, depicting animal scenes. The Basilicas of Agios Georgios of Pegeia are located inside the archaeological site of the Greco-Roman Early Christian settlement. Whilst visiting Agios Georgios you can view the constructions, the grave complex, and the unfortified settlement that existed during the Roma and Early Christian era. Currently a new costal walkway all the way to Pegeia is under development and the Agios Georgios end is completed and ideal for a leisurely costal stroll.

Lara Bay

Further north along the coastline, Lara Bay is a remote sliver accessible only by 4WD, jeep safari or Quad bike tour. It’s one of the best beaches in Paphos for natural wonders: this untouched beauty provides an ideal habitat for nesting loggerhead and green turtles from May to August. While you must not disturb the creatures or the nests, the Lara Bay Turtle Conservation Station welcomes visitors who want to see rescued hatchlings paddling about in large tanks and to learn about its environmentalism.

Blue Lagoon

There is nowhere better to experience the beauty of the Cyprus sea than the Blue Lagoon with its brilliant turquoise waters as clear as a swimming pool. Reached only by 4WD or boat, which helps to keep away the masses and preserve the area in pristine condition. Regular boat trips depart from Latchi harbour in the morning, afternoon, and evening, or you can book a guided 4WD tour that will take you to this amazing place.
