La Casa: A Culinary Oasis in Coral Bay
Where to Eat in Coral Bay: La Casa Brunch & Tapas”Good things come to those who wait,” they say, and it couldn’t be truer for La Casa, a charming restaurant that has braved the trials of roadworks in Peyia. For months, the main road was under construction, making access to this hidden gem as tricky as winning a game of hide and seek. The first time I went I made the rookie mistake of visiting on a Monday—their only day off.
With the roads now graced with fresh tarmac and elegant paving, La Casa is ready to dazzle. On my recent visit, the place was bustling, but we were lucky to snag a table. The restaurant has expanded with a massive terrace that offers breathtaking sea views. Inside, you’ll find a vintage designer vibe with large, comfortable tables and a stylish bar area.
Where to Eat in Coral Bay: A Day in the Life of La Casa
La Casa is like a culinary chameleon, offering a delightful brunch menu during the day and transforming into a tapas haven after 5:30 PM. The brunch menu is a feast for the senses, featuring dishes like Eggs Benedict, Londoner’s Breakfast, and Shakshuka—all with a unique La Casa twist.
Brunch Delights
We kicked off our meal with the traditional Eggs Benedict. La Casa’s version includes two poached eggs, crispy bacon, and a toasted muffin drizzled with heavenly hollandaise, accompanied by a generous green salad. For those who prefer a sea twist, the Eggs Royale with smoked salmon is a must-try.
Our next indulgence was the fried chicken and pancakes. Picture a tower of pancakes topped with buttermilk fried chicken, crispy bacon, and maple syrup, crowned with a fried egg. It was so good, we declared it one of the best breakfasts ever!
The most ravenous among us opted for the Ultimate Steak Sandwich, a baguette brimming with succulent Black Angus beef, caramelised onions, cheddar cheese, and garlic mayo, served with a side salad and homemade chips. It was a carnivore’s dream come true!
Sweet Endings
No meal is complete without dessert, and we chose the Caramel Cheesecake and Tartufo. The cheesecake, with its warm caramel sauce, was so divine that sharing became a distant memory. The Tartufo was a chocolate lover’s fantasy, with a chocolate shell encasing a white and milk chocolate mousse.
As if the food wasn’t enough, La Casa also boasts an impressive selection of drinks, from cocktails to unique and local wines—all at reasonable prices. The friendly staff even brought water for our furry friend, making us feel right at home. We can’t wait to return and explore the tapas menu!
